Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her role as the character Detective Diane Russell. Her appearances are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a household worker. She grew up in a home that included four brothers. She dreamed of becoming a court reporter in the early years of her life, however she began modelling at high school, eventually earning commercials following her move from New York. Her first acting job was as a teen innocent as a child in All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Delaney was in numerous of TV movies, film and dramas after that. Similar to her profession, her personal life hasn't been a success or happy one. The talented actress has had to deal with alcoholism throughout her life and had two divorces. She lost custody of her son in 2005.
