Her tragic death cut a hole in her growing popularity and, it is what happens often the moment a brilliant, warm superstar dies young, she caused many to grieve her unrealized potential. As a result fans have been inspired over through the years to dig their heels even harder working to ensure that her achievements will not be forgotten. Selena was the Tejano performer who tragically killed by a gunshot accident caused a Latino reaction that could be thought of as similar to the reactions to Elvis Presley's and John Lennon's death. Selena was a hugely loved Latino singer throughout North America. Her music transcended boundaries and inspired youngsters as well as older adults. Selena might have been described by certain people as an Latina Madonna, however she's still a fantastic character model. Selena's family values off stage and her participation in AIDS awareness efforts provide a great example.
